At Kate Golding Health and Wellbeing, our team recognises that everyone is unique, and we understand the complexities of neurodevelopmental conditions and we take pride in taking a neuroaffirmative approach. We are a dedicated team of professionals that have a range of experience in health and educational disciplines. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to reach their full potential in education, work and life and we are passionate in the work that we undertake. It is important to note that being diagnosed with autism/ADHD is not a negative and that by gaining more understanding of neurodivergence, families and professionals can kindly adjust the environment and embrace differences. There are many strengths to having autism and these skills and attributes should not be overlooked and have a valuable contribution to society.  Most parents seek an assessment for their child because they are experiencing problems in school or because they have concerns about their emotional wellbeing or mental health. It is not uncommon that a family member, friend or professional has mentioned the possibility of autism or ADHD before parents contact us. There might be a family history of autism, ADHD or another neurodevelopmental condition, increasingly the likelihood of autism/ADHD in relatives.
